What you’ll learn

• DOT Part 40 overview: roles, rules, and compliance

• Collection site setup, privacy & security requirements

• CCF (Chain of Custody) completion, error prevention

• Temperature strip reading & out-of-range handling

• Problem collections (shy bladder, refusals, adulteration)

• Packaging, shipping, and recordkeeping

Hands-on qualification

• Live demonstrations + 5 supervised mock collections

• Real-world role plays (donor, collector, observer)

• Immediate feedback on technique, documentation, and timing

Outcome: You’ll complete the training and mock-collection components consistent with DOT 49 CFR Part 40 initial qualification. (Employers may require additional internal onboarding or site checks. This workshop does not make you a BAT—breath alcohol certification is separate.)
